ART IN UNEXPECTED PLACES:
ADRIFT GALLERY POPS UP IN VACANT SPACES
ABC’s Adrift Gallery initiative is dedicated to bringing accessible visual art exhibitions and arts programming to unexpected places while improving the cultural and artistic landscape.
This ABC innovative initiative activates empty storefronts into places for both art and commerce showcasing contemporary works made by regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists.
We work to connect artists to resources, cultivate a culture of arts patronage, and raise the visibility of the arts community. We hope that by encouraging people to rethink vacant spaces, we can enhance the cultural and creative environment while amplifying the arts in unique ways.
SEEKING PROPOSALS FROM BUSINESS OWNERS & ARTISTS
Project Adrift Gallery is an initiative of Arts Build Community, in collaboration with private property owners to activate vacant storefronts. This program will provide artists with an opportunity to activate a pop-up exhibition.
Artists: ABC is currently seeking proposals from interested creatives. Selected applicants can occupy and transform these spaces for a limited time from 1-day experiences to month-long exhibitions, creating a more vibrant street-level environment.
Building owners: ABC is actively seeking storefront space from property owners to transform into destination spaces and gain foot traffic. If you have an empty storefront and are interested in hosting an ABC’s pop up gallery, please contact us here ……. We will bring the art and people to help reimagine your space.
